New Year's Food for Thought
For 2009 here’s food for thought. It’s tough to diet. And it always seems as though the more you tell yourself “doughnuts are bad” the desire for “doughnuts” becomes all the more uncontainable. Try this: Take a positive attitude towards your food. While some food is indeed bad for you, most unprocessed food is great for you. When you eat a salad, think about all of the wonderful nutrients you’re giving your body rather than thinking about the burger that you really wanted. Focus on the positive aspects of the food you are eating and not the negative and most likely you will find yourself making more nutritious food choices. And most importantly be nice to yourself, when you indulge don’t beat yourself up. Food is not the enemy; but our attitude towards food can be.
