We all know that sparkling wine can brighten up any meal: from mimosas at breakfast to a glass with take-out to a toast with dessert. It would be almost unreasonable to imagine the perfect bottle for every occasion, but the perfect Champagne for every season…done!
POMMERY’s talented cellarmaster, Thierry Gasco who has been with this impressive (and sometimes unjustly overlooked) house since 1992, has crafted a collection of four individual champagnes, each geared to a specific time of year. The concept was first launched with Summertime (a Blanc de Blancs) and Wintertime (a Blanc de Noirs) in 1998, followed by Springtime (a Brut Rosé) and Falltime (a Blanc de Blancs Extra Dry) in 2005. Vibrantly colored labels and box packaging distinguishes the individual members of this collection, and makes these wines stand out from the crowd on retail shelves.
Personally, I love the Wintertime Non-Vintage Blanc de Noirs. It is deep and dense with ripe berry fruit, rich flavors and fine mousse; a long, ripe and racy finish lingers on the tongue.
