Looking for a hot, happening place in Culver City? We recently visited Rush Street—it’s a lively bar and restaurant on Washington Boulevard in downtown Culver City. It has lots going for it: low prices, hip decor, the waitresses are cute, the bar is lively, and the vibe is good. The only problem is the food. Stick with simple things. The turkey burger is ok and so is the regular burger but both lack flavor. I like the barbecued ribs, although they’re served as an appetizer. The macaroni and cheese, appropriately gooey, is another decent option. As the evening goes on, the crowd and the throbbing music get louder and the focus shifts to the bar. What can I say? Maybe I’m just too old for this place.
