Joanne Weir’s book, Tequila: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites is a great place to start if you're interested in learning some more about tequila. After exploring the unique history of tequila and the agave plant from which it originates, the book highlights nearly forty exciting drink recipes. Of course, there are margarita recipes, but the focus is on the more elegant drinks like the Rested Rosemary, made with reposado tequila, agave nectar, pomegranate juice and a sprig of, you guessed it, rosemary. If all this drinking makes you hungry, the book has recipes for everything from a Chilled-Honeydew-Lime Soup to Steak Verde: all with at least a splash of tequila added for flavor. Weir even includes desserts like Tequilamisu and Coco Loco Tequila Cupcakes. Olé!
