The first thing I give thanks for is a home cooked meal. When you eat out as much as I do, a real, traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings is a welcome change of pace. I'm thankful to be surrounded by my family today, especially now that all my children no longer live at home. I'm thankful for the positive feedback I get from my writing on wine and food. I'm thankful for the bounty of the Southland its markets, delicacy shops, cheese stores and delicatessens. I'm thankful for the endless variety of fine wines from which we can choose. I'm thankful for the responsiveness and intelligence of my KABC listeners. Most of all, I'm thankful for the opportunity to air my feeling and opinions on the subjects I love most. Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
