Argentina Giorno II

Today we had lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant SOTTOVOCE, just a short walk from the hotel. Since many Agentines are of Italian descent, the Italian food here is excellent and quite authentic. An ethereal eggplant Parmigiano appetizer was followed by a selection of stunning pastas including tagliolini (remember, folks, the ā€œgā€ is silent) with pancetta, cream and parmesan and a sensational semolina gnocchi. The wine was Felino Malbec, a fabulous dark, lush, concentrated Parker-style wine made by superstar winemaker Paul Hobbs at Cabos (93 points), about $30.
