The Buzz

Honey is a highly underrated ingredient for both food and cocktails. There are much more sophisticated honeys out there than the classic honey bear that you buy at the grocery store. At farmer’s markets you will see a wide variety of honeys from clover to buckwheat. Honey that tastes of buckwheat? Yes. I realize it sounds far fetched however the flavors are subtle and exciting. In order to get different flavors of honey, beekeepers take hives of bees to different fields to pollinate; lavender fields for lavender honey, orange blossom fields for orange blossom honey and so on. If you have the chance, pick up some artisanal honey for yourself.
