Dinner and a Movie

Just down from the Landmark theaters in the Westside Pavillion is a smashing new 300-seat restaurant – the WESTSIDE TAVERN where star chef Warren Schwartz is turning out dazzling American tavern food. Start with the batter fried green beans with aioli or the baby artichoke and smoked mozzarella flatbread. Then try the spit-roasted lemon and mustard chicken with spinach, or the open-face portabella and mozzarella melt. My favorite is the transcendental BLT with a soft fried egg inside. Amazing! The wine list is good and desserts include warm sticky toffee cake and yummy lemon meringue pie. WESTSIDE TAVERN is a good-looking and comfortable restaurant and service is friendly and professional. Prices are moderate. Actually, forget the movie; just have dinner.
