Chocolate Treasure Hunt
Earlier this month, my radio show covered one kind of truffle—the fungal kind, that grows at the roots of trees. But perhaps just as delicious are the velvety smooth chocolate variety. This Sunday, Manhattanites can participate in the Chocolate Treasure Hunt New York. Offered by Walking Tours Manhattan, a $5 donation per person to the Food Bank of New York City is all that’s needed to discover four of the city’s best chocolatiers. The tour begins at Jacques Torres’ shop in Greenwich Village, and covers a little over a mile—assuming you follow all the clues to a T and don’t get lost! A guide from Walking Tours Manhattan is only a cell call away if you get frustrated; finish the hunt and receive an additional prize. For more information, visit WalkingToursManhattan.com.
