Eight years ago, Jennifer Clair started a great culinary program for New Yorkers—Home Cooking New York. The at-home cooking classes she offered were a hit. But she recently launched her first public cooking school in Manhattan—a take-out home cooking school, if you will. The flagship location in Chelsea is offering evening and weekend classes at The Inn on 23rd street. Each class is taught by an expert chef, Clair or her fellow chef/instructor John Scoff, and ends with a sit-down, family style meal for the 10 students in each class. Everyone goes home happy and full, with new recipes and skills. Home Cooking New York is also launching week-long camps for younger kids and teens.
