Time to give thanks

The first thing I give thanks for is a home cooked meal. I eat out so much, a real, traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings is a welcome change of pace. I'm thankful to be surrounded by my family on this special day, especially now that my children no longer live at home. I'm thankful for the positive feedback I get from my writing on wine, spirits, food and lifestyle. I'm thankful for the bounty of New York – its markets, delicacy shops, cheese stores and delicatessens. I'm thankful for the endless variety of fine wines and spirits that are available to us. I'm thankful for the responsiveness and intelligence of devoted readers. Most of all, I'm thankful for the opportunity to air my feelings and opinions on the subjects I love most. Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
