The Oldest Charles Krug
Start sifting through your cellars and dust off those seasoned wine bottles because Charles Krug Winery is in search of the oldest Charles Krug wine bottle in honor of the establishment’s 150th anniversary. The winery has been in the Peter Mondavi Family for nearly 70 of its 150 years, and the family is hoping to find an aged bottle that dates back either to pre-Prohibition or the Peter Mondavi Family era, which began with the 1944 vintage. Bottles will be authenticated by experts from Sotheby’s auction house in New York, and the winning bottle may be purchased by the Mondavi family for display at the winery. Think you have a contender? To submit an entry, post information and a photo on Charles Krug’s Facebook page or email to email@example.com. Take a look in Granny’s basement.
