It’s not every day I advocate buying a book that’s 800 pages. But you should really pick up the newest edition of Emily Post’s ETIQUETTE, published by William Morrow. The last edition came out seven years ago—and when you think that seven years ago Facebook was in its infancy, you realize a lot has changed in the rules of manners and decorum. While the book is devoid of color pictures (and again—it’s almost 800 pages), it’s not likely to be a hit with teens looking for some casual reading. But, I say invest in the guide and keep it on the shelves with other reference books—it can never hurt to have Emily Post on hand. THE 18TH EDITION OF EMILY POST’S ETIQUETTE is on sale now from William Morrow, in stores and online for $40.
