The symbol of wealth, prosperity and fertility is about to make its annual appearance in markets everywhere. The sweet-tart seeds of this tropical Asian fruit make a wonderful addition to winter salads, savory dishes and desserts. Sprinkle the seeds over cakes or puddings, add them to marinades or use as a garnish in rice dishes. Kids enjoy the extended and messy pleasure of mining the little gems from their leathery skin.
