Bread without heavy carbs. Making your own pizza dough can be a pain and seem as though it never comes out quite as light and crispy as it does at the pizzeria. Try a lavash, Armenian flat bread, which is available in most markets. Lavash is similar to a tortilla but is lighter and has a crunchier texture. Used similarly to pita bread, lavash can also be a delicious vehicle for the pizza of your dreams. Simply preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Spread some of your favorite pesto sauce on the lavash and then top with sliced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and arugula. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper. Bake your pizza in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until crispy and the cheese is melted. Cut into squares and serve warm. You’ll love it!
