Homemade Almond Milk
Almond milk is quickly becoming a staple, and it’s happening for all the right reasons. This dairy substitute can lower cholesterol, build strong bones, and help with weight management. And the cherry on top is just how easy it is to make. To churn your delicious homemade almond milk you’ll need:
• 1 Cup of Organic Raw Almonds
• Purified Water
• Polyester Mesh Nut Bag
To begin, soak 1 cup of the organic raw almonds in water overnight. When the almonds are nice and plump, strain and toss them into your CUISINART blender with 2 cups of water. Start the blending at a low speed, moving to a higher speed when necessary. Add in 2 more cups of water and blend on high speed until you’ve reach a glossy puréed consistency. Pour a fourth of the almond mixture into the polyester mesh nut bag, and strain into a large glass or pitcher. Squeeze the bag well to get the most out of your milk. Repeat three times. This recipe makes 3 to 4 cups and will keep for 2 to 3 days. Cheers!
