National Tequila Day
Happy National Tequila Day! No other spirit has as many stories, myths, and legends as tequila does, so today is definitely one to celebrate! One story goes that the Aztecs believed this agave elixir came from the gods as a way to console Quetzalcoatl, a man who lost his lover. His tears grew a plant in his lover’s burial site that would give hallucinogenic properties when consumed.
Now, tequila doesn’t only have to be enjoyed by the broken-hearted, so drink away! If you’re looking for some recommendations, here are the notes and scores of some of the recent tequilas I’ve enjoyed.
