That’s a lot of benefits for such a little berry. Be good this summer with this strawberry balsamic recipe. It’s unbelievably simple and great for an afternoon pick-me-up or a light dessert. You'll need:
- 1 pound of Strawberries
- 2 tablespoons of Balsamic Vinegar
- 5 Tablespoons of Sugar
- Half a lemon
Start with 1 pound of strawberries. Halve them and mix in a large bowl with balsamic vinegar and sugar. Squeeze in half a lemon and let the berries marinate for a couple of hours for the juices to form. These make a great snack on its own but serve with mascarpone, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
