Pear Brie Sandwich
Autumn pears. Pear season is finally here and my favorite way of enjoying this fall fruit is in a grilled brie sandwich.
Begin by buttering 2 slices of white bread. Spread whole-grain mustard on the other side of one slice only. In a skillet on medium-high, place the bread butter-side-down. On one, place sliced Brie cheese with 6 thinly sliced pieces of pear. Top with a couple more slices of cheese and finish it off with some fresh ground black pepper.
Flip over the other slice, mustard side down onto your now finished sandwich. When the cheese is melted and the pear has softened, transfer the sandwich onto a plate. Garnish with a few springs of thyme and your grilled Brie and pear sandwich is ready to go.
